That is quite a long time that I traveled a lot in the desert. Well, I love deserts. I like the peace, I like their naked landscapes. I like the solitude found there. And I love their beauty.
This is also a lot of time I'm practicing photo. So I'm shooting pictures of deserts. But as the deserts are very simple by nature, images obtained may lack originality. Yes, this is beautiful, but everyone can do the same, you just have to go there.
Going to the desert, crossing is sometimes impressive dunes, crossing vast horizons, and feel very small in all this solitude. Show all this when you stay at ground, ce n’est pas toujours l’idéal. And to climb the dune overlooking the scene you want to immortalize, is a figment of the imagination: climb a dune is running an Olympic event, and rate of progression, and the necessity of shooting on the fly forbid you to wait too often your teammates, the time they reach the ideal point of view.
There is a solution often used, is the quad. It makes able to move fast and high. But it requires logistics which can be very restrictive.
